Welcome stitchers! If you are looking for something unique and exciting to start up your next project, look no further, because if I don't have what you are looking for, then I can make it for you. What makes Altered Cross Stitch unique is that, when you get tired of browsing through other peoples ideas for your cross stitch, then send me your idea of the perfect design and I can create the pattern for you! Of course, I offer an array of patterns from intricate to simplistic, cross stitch that could take a year, to taking only a few days. I am my own designer, so you will not find the patterns on this site anywhere else on the internet and I try to add new cross stitch designs all the time. There is no end to creativity, so if you don't like what you see here, submit a photo, picture of anything that you would love to cross stitch and I can make your own, one of a kind pattern or kit that will not be shared with anyone else. Unless you want to. The choices are endless. Happy browsing and happy creating!

Note from the owner: Thank you to everyone who has supported Altered Cross Stitch. It has been my personal pleasure to be involved in working up your custom pictures, which in the beginning, was thought to be a simple process. As I soon found out, I have been spending far more time staring at the screen, embedding other peoples works of art into my head, memorizing them and tweaking them to their fullest potential. I want to make this experience as right for the customer as I have for myself, which has meant a fair more amount of time allocated just for custom pictures. But as I explained to one other already, its hard to send your child out the door without tucking in a tag or wiping the corners of their mouth. I thank the people who have been and welcome those who may come.  

Well, depending on who you talk to, they say that we're heading for or already in a recession. Times are tough, money is tight. Everyone wants more bang for their bucks. I don't blame you because I am in the same boat.

So what I'm doing, is trying to make all my cross stitch patterns available for download. No shipping and handling fees. No waiting. No going to the post office or where ever you may have to pick up your mail. If you are the kind of person who has a bunch of leftover DMC or aida cloth, then you won't be far from starting your project immediately.

Thank you for your patience. I am a designer, a webmaster, a mom, I try to work hard to work up the custom as well as build the kits to go out and in my spare time (which is sparse) I try to keep with my promise of adding new patterns. (*Hear me roar now*) I'm working hard to make it easier and more convenient for you, my customers.
