How the process works:
1. If you decide you want a one of a kind cross stitch, then you must choose your photo or original artwork and submit it to admin@alteredcrossstitch.com. Or send it by snail mail as listed in the About Us/Contact Us page. It has to be something with good quality and high resolution to maximize the conversion process. I will email back the conversion so that you can see the picture as it would appear as a finished product. It may take from 24-72 hours since the process is not automated and takes a human touch to complete.
To maximize detail of the photo, especially in faces, it is important that it be a close up shot. If cropping, touching up and enhancement is necessary, I am willing and capable to make the adjustments you need. After all, if you are going to be stitching it, then I should make it as perfect as possible!

2. If you love your cross stitch and wish to proceed, carry through the secure checkout process, using the same name and email address you used to submit your photo. It really is that simple. I will be notified of payment and you will be notified when it is shipped.
*Please note: Please make sure that you love your cross stitch. This custom version is very time consuming for me between mocking up the pattern (free service) and finalizing once payment has been made. I go through a minimum of 1-3 hours per picture, after you have made the choice to purchase the pattern or kit. I do not offer refunds on Custom products. It is special made for you and no one else.
3. Check the mail and take your new cross stitch project home!
